CFMOTO 250DUAL Spotted Testing in Nepal, Launch Expected Soon

The CFMOTO 250DUAL, also known in some markets as the CFLite 250DUAL, has been spotted undergoing road testing in Nepal.

The test mule was seen operating in real-world conditions, suggesting that CFMOTO, through its local distributor Rishi Trade Centre, is in the process of evaluating the motorcycle ahead of a possible market introduction.

This also indicates that the brand is considering an expansion of its portfolio into the dual-sport and lightweight adventure category, a segment that has been gaining attention among riders looking for motorcycles capable of handling both daily commuting and occasional off-road use.

In terms of design, the CFMOTO 250DUAL features a tall and upright stance commonly associated with dual-sport motorcycles.

The front section adopts an angular fascia with a compact headlight layout, paired with a raised front fender and extended fork guards that suggest an emphasis on functionality in dusty or uneven conditions. The suspension setup offers visibly generous travel, contributing to a high ground clearance and a commanding riding posture.

The bodywork is relatively slim and minimal, likely intended to improve maneuverability, particularly during off-road riding. A high-mounted exhaust system has also been observed, which is typically used to improve clearance during water crossings or trail riding.

The test unit was fitted with dual-purpose tyres and spoked wheels, reinforcing its mixed-terrain orientation. The seat and fuel tank design appear narrow, a layout that generally aids rider control when standing on the footpegs during off-road sections.

Mechanically, the CFMOTO 250DUAL is expected to be powered by a 249cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing around 24 horsepower and 22.5 Nm of torque. The motorcycle is reported to feature USD front forks, long-travel suspension with approximately 160mm of movement, and a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel combination.

Depending on the final specification for Nepal, the bike may also include dual-channel ABS, full LED lighting, and compliance with Euro 5+ emission standards.

If launched in Nepal, the CFMOTO 250DUAL is expected to be priced below Rs 6.5 lakh, positioning it as a more accessible option within the dual-sport category. However, official pricing, final specifications, and the launch timeline have yet to be announced.
